SIKA Ltd - New Resident of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park
LLC Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP) provided Ltd. SIKA (a member of the group of companies SIKA Group, Switzerland) status of a resident of the industrial park.
The Ministry of Economy reported that the Swiss company has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2005. The company plans to use raw material for the production of building supplements in the park. The production capacity will be 5,000 tons. We are talking about materials such as Sikament 300, Sikament FF5 and Sigunit L25. The annual demand of enterprises for the production of building materials in Azerbaijan is 800-1000 tons, which is currently imported. The remaining 4,000 tons of production will be exported to Russia, Georgia and the Central Asian countries.
Thus, the number of residents of SCIP has reached 6 (Azerbaijan Fibro Cement, SOCAR Polymer, Azertechnoline, Baku Non Ferrous and Foundry Company, AzerFloat, and Baku Shipyard).
SCIP was created in December 2011 and is the managing organization of the Sumgait chemical and industrial park and the Mingechevir and Garadagh industrial parks. The park covers 295.6 hectares in Sumgait. ---08D
