Since the beginning of the year increase of foreign labor was 2 544 people
The number of registered migrant workers in Azerbaijan is growing.
According to the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), YTD increase of foreign labor was 2 544 persons or 15.6 %. As of October 1, they are 16 297 people, of whom only 9.8 % are women.
Most are citizens of Turkey (9 498, or 58.3 % of all migrants), followed by Georgia - 1 762 and Russia - 827 representatives.
They are followed by Iran (532 people), China (396), India ( 399) and the UK ( 240 ) . Total in Azerbaijan officially registered migrant workers from 99 countries in the world. These figures do not fully reflect reality. Many foreigners that come for the construction of large-scale investment projects are exempt the Migration Service.
The adoption of a mandatory registration of foreigners with the State Social Protection Fund began on January 1, 2006 . - 17D-
