SOCAR: well on Bulla Deniz denis fully under control
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has confirmed that it has extinguished fire on the well on the Bulla Deniz offshore field.
SOCAR reported that the specialists of SOCAR jointly with the US Boots & Coots company have completed installation of the anti-flow equipment on the mouth of the well, the well was fully taken under control and fire has been extinguished.
The works to connect the well with the manifold are currently in progress. “At the next stage we will fully solve the problem,” reads the statement.
The exploration well No 90 on the Bulla Deniz field caught fire on August 17, 2013. It was extinguished only on October 23 in the evening.—0—
