Specialized Cash Auction to Be Held Soon
The State Committee for Property Affairs (SCPA) resumed holding specialized cash auctions that replaced bidding tenders in 2011, which since 1997 were held with the state privatization vouchers.
Eight specialized money auctions will be held on 24-28 December. The previous similar auction was held in August last year.
According to SCPA, the auction will regard 55% of the shares of two JSCs located near the front line. These companies (JSC Tartar Ixtisaslasdirilmis Neqliyyat and JSC Goranboy Et) were turned to JSC this year. All investors are offered more than 29,000 shares with par value of AZN 2.
Recently held was the privileged sale of 15% of the shares of a specialized motor company in Tartar, which resulted in 10 of its workers taking 203 (1.42%) shares of the 2,143 possible. Under the law, the remaining 30% of the shares are offered as one package on the money auction. As a rule, in the end, these shares are sold at 50% of par.
At the specialized cash auctions can take part any person having at least 2 manat in cash. --08D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
