Switzerland will help the development of ICT in Azerbaijan
Switzerland is interested in the development of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan.
At a meeting held on the eve of Deputy Communications Elmira Velizade with Federal Councillor and Minister for Economic Affairs, Education and Research of the Swiss Confederation, Johann Schneider-Ammann noted the role of the experience of this country in the establishment of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, as well as in the organization of the High-Tech Park and other local projects aimed at the development of the ICT sector.
At the meeting, noted that this sector of the economy plays a decisive role in the development of relations between the two countries.
In turn, the Minister Johann Schneider noted that at the present time are the pulse of technology serving a driving force for the growth of the world economy, and Switzerland has paid much importance to the development of the sector.
Recall that in the traditional global report on the development of information technology, prepared by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Switzerland with a coefficient of 5.66 ranks the 6th position among the 150 countries developing ICT. Azerbaijan is No 56. -17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
