Tariff Council approves the prices for the next lot of medicines
On 4 February the Tariff Council (TC) of the country approved the list prices for 600 drugs. They are listed on the TC’s website (http://tariff.gov.az). The regulation of prices has been lasting for months, and up to now has been approved by the price of 5651 drugs , of which 3711 are sold at approved prices. New prices for the rest of the drugs will come into force on 25 February, the report said. On approval of the TC, the price for 20% of medicines are reduced by to times, by 8% - by three times. In general, for 60% drugs prices have fallen.
In practice, these solutions are not confirmed. Thus, many drugs simply disappear from the market, and some become more expensive, despite the decisons of the TC. The order to low the prices was given by the president of the country. -02D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
