The intensity of the railway route Baku-Sumgayit-Baku increases
On February 15th the CJSC "Azerbaijani Railways" (AR) will increase the intensity of the railway route Baku-Sumgayit-Baku from 10 to 12 times per day. The decision was made taking into account the proposals and desire of passengers.
The press service of AR said Turan, that the train will reach destination within 40 minutes. The time on the road will be reduced to 8 minutes. Currently on the Baku-Sumgayit-Baku run three trains KİSS produced by Stadler-Minsk plant.
Elyar Muradov , the Head of the Department of passenger transport of the AR told Turan, that in the end of February in Baku was brought the fourth of five trains purchased in May 2015.
According to E.Muradov, for profitability of passenger services on the specified route the ticket price should be at least 3 manat. By the decision of the Tariff (Price) Council, the ticket price is set at 0.80 manat. However, the AR is not considering the issue of increasing the cost of the ticket said the representative of the railways. 08B
