The share of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan"s GDP reached 56.5%
Baku/23.01.14/Turan : State Statistics Committee unveiled the main macroeconomic indicators for 2013 , according to which the gross domestic product ( GDP) by the production method of calculation was 57.7 billion manat, increasing by 5.8%. The total output of goods and services at current prices was 84.8 billion manat.
Last year, the growth rate of non-oil GDP reached 10%, 9% more than the oil sector. Thus, the share of non-oil sector in GDP of 32.6 billion manat reached 56.6% , increasing by 3% point.
It is generally accepted that the level of development of the economy is defined by the proportion of the production of goods and services in GDP in favor of the latter . In Azerbaijan, in 2013 the volume of services was 36.6% ( 17.4 billion manat). The growth rate of production of services (7.2 % ) exceeded the figure for the production of goods by 2.3%.
Noticeable growth in value added was in the construction sector (23 %), trade (9.9%) , tourist accommodation and catering (16%) and communication ( 10.7%).
GDP per capita ( AZN 6 207.3 or $7 912.5) for the year increased by 4.4 %.
GDP reflects the market value intended for direct consumption of final goods and services.

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.

According to operational data from the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, in January 2025, the country produced 2.3 million tons of oil, including condensate, and 3.9 billion cubic meters of gas.
