"Traditional New Year's Fairs 'From Village to City' to Grace Baku Streets"
The Ministry of Agriculture in Azerbaijan has unveiled plans for the eagerly awaited traditional New Year's fairs, aptly named "From Village to City," scheduled to transform the heart of Baku from December 20 to 30. Timed to coincide with the Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the World and the joyous ushering in of the New Year, the fairs promise an array of agricultural and food delights for citizens.
A diverse gathering of 80 farmers hailing from 42 regions across the nation, all pre-registered, will showcase their finest products at the fairs. Shoppers can indulge in up to 100 varieties of agricultural and food items, offering a delightful panorama of the country's rich produce.
The primary objective of these fairs is to cater to citizens' needs for essential agricultural and food products during the holiday season while concurrently establishing an alternative sales avenue for farmers. The Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan will rigorously monitor the quality of the products, ensuring that consumers receive nothing short of excellence. Mobile quality control laboratories will be stationed within the fairgrounds, providing attendees the opportunity to personally assess the products.
It is noteworthy that participation in the New Year's fairs "From Village to City" is entirely cost-free for farmers. Organizers will furnish farmers with counters, scales, refrigerators, and other essential tools and equipment, alleviating financial burdens. Moreover, logistical support will be extended to ensure a seamless and successful event.
The enchanting festivities will unfold at two distinctive addresses – Narimanov district, Fatali Khan Khoysky str., 5 (proximate to the Ganjlik metro station) and Binagadi district, Suleiman Sani Akhundov str., 5b (adjacent to the Ingilab cinema). As the countdown to the New Year commences, the fairs are poised to encapsulate the spirit of community, agriculture, and celebration in the vibrant city of Baku.
