Two-thirds of Investments Directed to Non-oil Sector
Within four months of this year the volume of investments in fixed assets in Azerbaijan amounted to 4 252.7 million manat, which is 28.4% more than in the comparable period of 2012. According to the committee, two-thirds of investment (2.8 billion manat, 26.6%) invested in the non-oil sector of the economy.
In the structure of investment dominates the industrial sector - 47.2%. Next, the volume of investments should transport and warehousing - 17.5%, public administration - 8.1%, housing construction - 7.6%, agriculture 4.4%, etc.
The pace of investment in the oil sector in January-April of this year was ahead of the non-oil sector by 5.8% points and was AZN 1.4 bn.
The share of domestic investment in the reporting period amounted to 72.2%. In the structure of domestic investment bank notes state, including the state budget and the State Oil Fund, reaching 78.6%. The volume of financing to the economy of the state budget in January-April this year reached 1,883 million manat, which is 40.6% more than in the same period of 2012. 08B
