Work Begins on Separation of Two Lines of Baku Subway
CJSC Baku Metro is to start work on separation of the two existing lines, on completion of which the interval between trains on the segment 28 May - Dernegul will be increased to 2 minutes.
To carry out work on the construction of two tunnels of 100 meters each in October this year an agreement was signed with the company Bouygues Travaux Publics LLC (France). The document provides other technical issues associated with the separation of the Green (Dernegul - Khatai) and Red (Hazi Aslanov - Icherisheher) lines.
The work will take 3 years. The press-service of JSC Baku Metro told Turan that towards the end of the work the station 28 May will be closed for 5 weeks.
The cost of the contract between the underground and the French company is not reported. --08B--
