Young scientists of Azerbaijan in the finals Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2014
From 11 to 16 May in Los Angeles (California, USA) will be the final international scientific competition Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2014. The winners of the National Stage and the finalists of the major competitions have been revealed. They are Jamil Imranov and Nargis Allahverdieva, seniors from Technical Humanitarian Lyceum № 16 (the project "Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles of iron oxides in the garnet"), Medina Mursagulova, Lala Jumshudlu and Jamil Muradov of the 11th grade of Baku European Lyceum (the project "Energy storage in cryogenic way "), as well as Ayaz Abuzarov from the Young Talents Lyceum (Project "New approach to the synthesis of glucose-phosphate and their use to increase the efficiency of ATP ").
National stages Intel ISEF held c 13 to 15 February in Baku, Sumgayit and Nakhchivan. Presented 65 research projects in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, ecology, engineering and computer science. Competition "Scientists of the Future" was held not only with the support of Intel Corporation and the relevant ministries. Actively helped the company Madad Azerbaijan, Baku State University, a private university "Caucasus" and other universities.
Then, according to the director of educational programs in the CIS Intel Tatiana Nanayeva, for today's schoolchildren to reveal talents and create new technologies in the future, to prepare for this they need it now. "We believe that the joint efforts of the state , non-governmental and private sectors , we create a synergistic effect that accelerates scientific and technical progress in the country and contributes to an early transition of the economy to a new stage - the knowledge economy (knowledge economy)», - she said.

Intel International Science and Engineering Fair - a worldwide competition of scientific and engineering achievements of the students , held annually in the United States on the initiative of the corporation Intel. Competition more than 60 years , during which it launched the career of more than twenty Nobel Prize winners and two winners of the Fields Medal. The prize fund is more than $ 3 million.
