Over the year, the volume of commercial oil production in Azerbaijan decreased by almost 2.5 million tons

Türkiye is ready to sell more gas to the European Union, but wants long-term commitments to justify investments in infrastructure, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar told Bloomberg. The minister added that Türkiye also prefers to do without complex swap operations, which the EU insists on, in order to avoid Russian gas supplies.

In January-June of this year, 25 billion 79.6 mcm of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan. The share of commercial natural gas accounted for 19 billion 141.1 mcm, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the reporting period, natural gas production increased by 3.4% compared to the same period last year, and commercial gas production increased by 5.3%.

In January-June of this year, 715.3 thousand tons of gasoline were produced in Azerbaijan, by 2.1% more than the same period in 2023, the report of the  State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan. In general, in the first half of this year, the total cost of oil products production in Azerbaijan amounted to 2,459.4 million manats, by 1.9% more than in the same period in 2023.

Azerbaijan and Israel discussed projects in the field of "green energy", Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote on the social network "X". He noted that at the meeting with Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation David Amsalem, the developing cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector, projects implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of production and export of renewable energy, as well as prospects for strengthening bilateral energy ties were discussed.
