SOCAR and “Citibank” discuss cooperation in the field of energy
Baku/09.06.23/Turan: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the American investment bank Citibank have considered potential opportunities for cooperation in the field of oil, gas, petrochemicals, and renewable energy sources.
The discussions took place at a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and David Livingston , a Citibank Chief Executive Officer for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
It is reported that the situation on the international financial markets was discussed at the meeting. The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
SOCAR and “Citibank” have been partnering for more than 15 years, including financing a number of strategically important projects that contribute to the economic development and energy security of the region. –0-
