SOCAR builds an oil tanker in Baku for $29 million
Baku Shipbuilding Plant LLC will produce a tanker for oil transportation by order of SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.) According to SOCAR's published financial statements for the first half of 2023, the State Oil Company and Baku Shipbuilding Plant LLC signed a contract for the construction of a tanker on April 12 this year. SOCAR transferred $28.8 million to the account of the shipyard for the implementation of the project.
At the same time, the reporting does not specify the characteristics of the tanker, as well as the timing of completion of its construction. --0--
