Britain reports an armed attack on a ship in the Gulf of Oman
РБК: Several armed men in black military uniforms unauthorizedly entered the ship off the coast of Oman. This was reported by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
“UKMTO received a report that four to five armed strangers boarded the vessel at approximately 03:30 GMT (06:30 Moscow time - RBC) 50 nautical miles east of Sohar, Oman,” it says in a message from the Center.
According to him, the unknown persons are dressed in black military uniforms. The UKMTO noted that it has not yet been possible to establish contact with the vessel. The UKMTO did not specify the name of the vessel.
Previously unknown persons seized the cargo ship "Ruen" with 18 people on board, owned by the Bulgarian Sea Fleet company and sailing under the flag of Malta, off the coast of Yemen. According to Bulgarian National Television, the incident occurred approximately 380 nautical miles (about 700 km) from the island of Socotra in the Arabian Sea.
