In Ukraine they told how Russia disrupted the purchase of fighter jets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
РБК: Russia disrupted Ukraine's purchase of fighter jets abroad. This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, Vladislav Belbas, in an interview with Economic Pravda.
According to him, there are many examples when the Russian side “prevented Kyiv from buying weapons on the world market.”
“In one country, on the other side of the planet, we found fighters and began to negotiate a purchase. The seller was ready, the Ministry of Defense (of Ukraine) confirmed that they were needed. Suddenly, one of the letters about this deal fell into the hands of the Russian side,” Belbas said.
He said that after this, a representative of the Russian embassy began to “threaten local officials” that Russia would “stop some projects for this country.” As a result, the deal was disrupted, since the supplier country refused to sell the aircraft, concluded the general director of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles.
