Manufacturers warned of an increase in prices in Russia for yoghurt, coffee and rice by 5–20%
РБК: Manufacturers and distributors warned retail chains that from the beginning of 2024, selling prices for dairy products, coffee, juices, rice and confectionery products will increase by 5–20%, Kommersant reports. According to the publication, retailers were sent corresponding letters from the end of November to mid-December 2023.
According to Wimm-Bill-Dann estimates, dairy products will rise in price by an average of 4.9%, and juices by 16.1%. Ehrmann yoghurts will increase in price by 5%, and soft drinks from Multon Partners (formerly Coca Cola) by 13%. Nestle will raise prices for coffee and coffee drinks by 15%, for confectionery products - by 8%, for breakfast cereals - up to 9.5%.
Agroimport warned that wholesale rice prices would rise by 22%. Lyubyatovo cookies will rise in price by 6%, and Ritter Sport and Ferrero Rocher chocolate by 7–14%.
The rise in prices is associated with a poor harvest and increased costs for freight transportation, processing and packaging. The Ministry of Agriculture said that the situation is “under special control”
