Patrushev said that Russia has weapons capable of destroying any enemy
tass: Russia has a modern unique weapon that is capable of destroying any enemy, including the United States, Secretary of the Security Council (SB) of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
"Russia is patient and does not intimidate anyone with a military advantage. But it has a modern unique weapon capable of destroying any enemy, including the United States, in the event of a threat to its existence," he said.
Patrushev called the short-sighted and dangerous stupidity of the opinions of American politicians, "who are in captivity of their own propaganda," that the Russian Federation will not be able to respond to a preventive nuclear strike by the United States.
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation also noted that in the West, some, "forgetting the lessons of history," talk about revenge, which will lead to a military victory over the Russian Federation.
Patrushev claims that the West made a serious mistake in counting on the collapse of the Russian economy and the growth of protest sentiments as a result of sanctions.
According to him, it is obvious that the West wants to economically exhaust Russia. "Under pressure from Washington, many Western companies left the Russian market. However, counting on the collapse of our economy and the growth of protest sentiments, they made a serious mistake," Patrushev said.
"In the last decade, the West has been implementing the idea of creating a technological order in which only it should flourish, and the rest of the world is destined to become the periphery of socio-economic development. Therefore, its leaders are furious about Russia's balanced reaction to the sanctions pressure. Our country irritates the rulers of the United States and Europe with its economic independence, raw material independence, scientific thought," the Secretary of the Security Council added.
He drew attention to the fact that the Western countries themselves are completely dependent on multinational companies, global economic chains. "If, for example, sanctions of the same level were imposed against England or France as against our country, these states would quickly plunge into chaos," Patrushev said.
