Pavel Durov has been detained in Paris while arriving from Baku
Telegram founder Pavel Durov has been detained at the Paris airport, La Gazette and LCI report.
Durov arrived in France from Azerbaijan. He was detained by air transport gendarmerie officers when the businessman's private plane landed at Le Bourget airport.
The businessman was accompanied by a woman and a bodyguard. The security forces had a search warrant. The gendarmerie considers Durov an accomplice to drug trafficking, crimes against children and fraud due to insufficient moderation in Telegram, refusal to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, as well as the messenger's functions, for example, allowing users to send cryptocurrency, LCI found out.
According to the TV channel, as early as Sunday, August 25, Durov may be charged with terrorism, crimes under articles on drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, concealment of crimes related to pedophilia.
