The Hamas commander who ordered the attack on Israel on October 7 was killed
Israeli Army spokesman Daniel Hegarty said that the Hamas commander who ordered the militants to carry out raids on southern Israel on October 7 was killed.
The commander, who was named in Hegarty's statement as Haytham Huwajari, ordered the militants to carry out raids in southern Israel on October 7, during which 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 taken hostage.
According to Hagari, Huwajari also led the battles in the Shati area of Gaza last month.
The Israeli army has released a video that allegedly shows the strike that killed Huwajari.
Reuters was unable to confirm the date or location where the video or photo was taken.
