Reuters: Russian troops shelled the eastern Donbass region on Saturday but failed to capture three targets, the Ukrainian military said, while Moscow said Western sanctions against Russia and arms shipments to Ukraine were hindering peace talks.
The Russians tried to seize the Liman districts in Donetsk and Severodonetsk and Popasnaya in Lugansk, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in a daily summary. "It was not possible — the fighting continues," the message says.
