22,500 Candidates Registered in Municipal Elections
Baku / 16.11.19 / Turan: In the municipal elections on December 23, 41,841 people were elected as candidates for members of local self-government bodies.
Of these, 22,529 were registered as candidates. Turan was informed at the CEC.
At the same time, 27,249 nominated individually, 14,564 by political parties, and 28 by initiative groups.
Municipal elections in Azerbaijan have been held since 1999. The current election is the fourth in a row.
On December 23, elections will be held for 15,156 seats in 1,606 municipal councils. –06V-
