30 children from Ukraine will undergo rehabilitation in Azerbaijan
Baku/04.08.23/Turan: Thirty children who suffered in the war in Ukraine arrived in Baku today for rest. Within 14 days, they will undergo rehabilitation in children's camps in Baku, Shamakhi, Gabala and Sheki.
The initiative was implemented by the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky said.
Through individual consultations, group therapy, meditation and yoga classes, psychosocial trainings, master classes conducted by professional psychologists, the stabilization of the emotional state of children will be ensured.
"For the second year, together with our Azerbaijani friends, we continue to implement a project for rehabilitation of Ukrainian children who suffered as a result of Russia's armed aggression.
This time Azerbaijan was visited by children whose parents defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine or, unfortunately, died for the bright future of our Motherland," the Аmbassador wrote on his Facebook page.
Since the beginning of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Azerbaijan has been providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. According to official data, the total amount of assistance provided by Azerbaijan amounted to more than 43 million manats.
Besides, 120 Ukrainian children who suffered from the war or lost their family members underwent medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan has undertaken to restore the Zarifa Aliyeva School No. 12 in the city of Irpen.,
The Ukrainian branch of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan - SOCAR Energy Ukraine has been providing fuel for ambulances and fire trucks for free since the beginning of the war. -06B-
