A farewell ceremony in Baku with the National Hero Riad Ahmedov
Baku/30.09.23/Turan: A farewell ceremony with the National Hero of Azerbaijan, Riad Ahmedov, whose remains were in the village of Dashalti, Shusha region, 30 years after his death, was held in Baku.
After the 44-day war in 2020, the remains of about 500 servicemen and civilians were found in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Sharafet Hasanov, said at the ceremony. According to him, the genetic laboratory of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the State Security Service has already identified 25 martyrs. The identification processes of the found remains and the search for the missing are continuing. Riad Ahmedov is buried in the second Alley of the honorable burial.
The martyr was buried under the volleys of the guard of honor, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was performed by a military orchestra.
Deputy Head of the Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense Riad Ahmedov went missing on January 26, 1992 after he was wounded in battle in the village of Dashalti. ---06B---
