A new customs post "Hanoba" was opened on the Azerbaijani-Russian border
Baku/17.03.23/Turan: On March 17, the opening ceremony of the new customs post "Hanoba", which is on the Azerbaijani-Russian border, took place. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers of the governments of Russia and Azerbaijan Alexey Overchuk and Shahin Mustafayev.
The new point will allow to multiply the passage of trucks across the border. At the same time, the load on the neighboring customs point "Samur" will be reduced.
Hanoba will ensure the rapid movement of goods from India and Pakistan through Iran and Azerbaijan to Russia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told reporters. According to him, this is an integral part of the North-South transport corridor - the most important transport highway of this century, he noted.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev noted that "Hanoba" will significantly increase the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Up to 300 trucks and 1000 passenger cars will pass through this customs point every day.
According to him, Azerbaijan is ready to expand transport projects by Russia, which are very important. ---02D---
