A number of agreements signed between Georgia and Azerbaijan
Baku/29.09.21/Turan: The Prime Ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan Irakli Garibashvili and Ali Asadov signed a number of agreements during a meeting of the economic commission of the two countries in Baku on September 29, the press service of the Georgian government reported.
In particular, the parties signed a cooperation program for 2021-2024 in the field of culture, an agreement on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and compliance, an agreement on a checkpoint on the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the Georgian agency "Produce in Georgia" and The Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Business of Azerbaijan, as well as an agreement between Produce in Georgia and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation.
"Azerbaijan is not only a friend and a neighboring state for Georgia, but also one of the main strategic partners, the main trade and economic partner of our country. We very much appreciate these bilateral relations: the economy is developing, cooperation in trade," Garibashvili said after the meeting of the commission.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan named the spheres of economic cooperation in which the countries can develop their relations.
"Our countries have many good opportunities for developing cooperation - the digital economy, agriculture, information and communication technologies, healthcare and other spheres, and the meeting of the commission was necessary to realize these opportunities," Asadov said. -02D-
