A preparatory meeting in the case Mamed Ibragimov
A preparatory meeting in the case of advisor to the chairman of the Popular Front Party Mamed Ibrahim, accused of hooliganism took place in the Narimanov District Court of Baku. According to lawyer Yalcin Imanov, the court granted only one of the defense motions - to permit the accused to sit on the course next to the lawyer. Other motions on the termination of criminal proceedings, on the replacement of the arrest of another preventive measure, were rejected.
The judge Turgay Huseynov appointed a hearing on December 28.
The reason for the arrest of Ibrahim became the complaint of the former party member Mikail Guliyev. On 29 September they had a conflict. The PPFA believes that against Ibrahim was a provocation in order to discredit the party. Initially, Ibrahim was charged under the Article 221.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code provides for a maximum punishment of imprisonment up to one year. Later, the investigation retroactively caught two "victims and retrain charged with Article 221.2.2, for which he can be imprisoned up to five years. -06B--

During the hearing, the investigator requested that the complaint be rejected, while Ibrahimov's lawyer, Aghil Laidj, pointed out the lack of grounds for keeping Ibrahimov in custody.
