ADWP demands rise in salaries, benefits and release of Saleh Rustamov
Baku/29.11.21/Turan: The Supreme Majlis of the newly established Azerbaijan Democracy and Welfare Party (ADWP) formed a 13-member board at its first session on 28 November.
It included Adil Geibulla, Arif Huseynli, Ellada Mammadli, Adalat Yusub, Alovsat Sadygly, Alovsat Talyshkhanly, Huseyn Malik, Rafik Abdullaly, Rovshan Demirli, Rufat Aliyev, Rufat Muradly and Samir Abbasly
Head of the ADWP, Gubad Ibadoglu made a report on "The socio-political situation and challenges facing the ADWP".
The ADWP asked the Azerbaijani government to take full control over the country by establishing checkpoints and customs posts in Lachin, ensure the withdrawal of Armenian fighters from Nagorno-Karabakh, return displaced people, and inform the society on projects in the liberated territories.
Given the threats to the life of activist Saleh Rustamov the Party demanded his immediate release.
In considering the price surge, the ADWP considers it is necessary to raise wages, pensions and benefits as early as December 1, and to employ or provide unemployment benefits to the unemployed.-068-
