Baku/08.10.21/Turan: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahyan said that Tehran will return to negotiations in Vienna to revive the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCAP) on Iran's nuclear program, Mehr reports.
“We will return to negotiations in Vienna. For the new Iranian government, which is a pragmatic and result-oriented government, it is very important that the interests and rights of the Iranian people are fully protected in the negotiations. We will not waste time negotiating. It is important for us to receive signals from the other side, including the United States, that the Americans are determined to fully return to their obligations," Abdollahian said.
At the same time, today in Tehran, he reiterated that Iran will not allow the Zionists in the neighborhood to pose a threat to security in the region. "In the not too distant future, you will see the results of Iran's efforts to ensure peace, stability and security in the region."
“By interacting with the region and our neighbors in the Caucasus, we will not allow the Zionists to have any intelligence movements,” he added. "We are ready to take any action necessary for peace, stability and security in the region in collective cooperation."
Iran's representative to the First Committee of the UN General Assembly Heydar Ali Baluji said: “The indisputable fact about the JCPOA is that only Iran has complied with the provisions of the JCPOA, and three European countries and the United States have not fulfilled their obligations. in accordance with this document ... Iran is committed to the implementation of the JCAP provided that other members fulfill their obligations and all unfair sanctions are lifted and verified,” he added.
Earlier, Turan said that the main motive for escalating tensions between Iran and Azerbaijan was US pressure to force Tehran to abandon its attempts to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran threatened Azerbaijan with military means as an ally of Israel and a stronghold of Zionism on its borders. —0—
