Air forces of Azerbaijan and Pakistan discuss issues on cooperation
Baku/17.06.21/Turan: On June 17, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Commander of the Air Force Ramiz Tairov received a delegation of the Pakistan Air Force led by Vice-Marshal of Aviation Tarig Ziyoy.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of military aviation of the two countries and expressed satisfaction with the development of the level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The parties also discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the air forces of the two countries in the military, military-educational and military-technical spheres, as well as other issues of mutual interest, the message says.
This is the fourth Pakistani military delegation visiting Azerbaijan over the past two months. During the same period, two military delegations of Azerbaijan visited Pakistan. -02D-

The press freedom organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has condemned the abuse of female journalists from Abzas Media, who are being held in Baku's pretrial detention center. "RSF condemns the ill-treatment of Abzas Media journalists Sevinj Vagifgizi, Nargiz Absalamova, and Elnara Gasymova. They have threatened to go on hunger strike if the pressure on them in the detention center does not stop. Journalists must be released," RSF stated a message posted on their “X” (formerly Twitter) account.

The Nizami District Court of Baku has extended the pretrial detention of former diplomat Emin Ibrahimov for another two months, his lawyer, Aghil Laidj, told Turan. The defense considers the court's decision unjustified. According to the lawyer, no investigative actions have been carried out with Ibrahimov. There has been no confrontation with the person whom the former diplomat allegedly injured with a knife.
