Air Forces of Azerbaijan have the right to shoot down aircrafts, entering the country"s airspace
On January 15 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution about the use of the airspace of Azerbaijan. It regulats issues of airspace in accordance with international standards and norms. Attention is drawn to paragraph 4.97, which states that in case of violation of airspace, air forces could be brought to make the offender land at the nearest airport. If this requirement is not met, and in the absence of exact information about the number of innocent passengers aboard, it is allowed to destroy the aircraft.
The threat of violation of the airspace of Azerbaijan have appeared after the plans of the Karabakh separatists to launch airport in the city of Khojaly in Nagorno Karabakh.-06D-
