Baku/23.05.22/Turan: The day before the newest Turkish strike-prospecting drone AKINCI flew to Baku. It flew about 2,000 km from Istanbul along the Black Sea, crossed Georgia and landed on the shores of the Caspian Sea.
Note that AKINCI will take part in the aviation festival TEKNOFEST which will be held in Baku on May 26-29 in Crystal Hall and on the seaside boulevard.
Teknofest Azerbaijan will feature Technological competitions, as well as an exhibition of drones and helicopters will be held within the "Teknofest Azerbaijan" framework. The program of the festival includes pilot flights of the Azerbaijani air force, as well as Turkish aerobatic groups Turkish Stars and Solo Turk.
On the morning of May 23 test flights of fighters of the Turkish Air Forces started over Baku.
* AKİNCİ made its first flight on December 6, 2019. Its carrying capacity is 1,350 kg and maximum mass is 5.5 tons. It is the first drone that can launch cruise missiles. AKINCI is 12.2 m long and has a wingspan of 20 m. Flight time - 24 hours, maximum altitude over 12 km.
Also, it can carry several missiles of different types and bombs. The first drone to carry an SOM cruising missile with a range of 275 kilometers as well as air-to-air missiles with a range of up to 100 kilometers.
Note that AKINCI has artificial intelligence. It was adopted by the Turkish air force in 2021 and in serial production since 2022. -02D-
