Ali Insanov's assistant arrested for 30 days
Baku / 07.09.20 / Turan: Today the Binagadi District Court of Baku passed a decision to arrest assistant to the chair of the Law and Justice Party, Rashad Abbasli, for 30 days on charges of not obeying the police, according to the member of the teaching staff Babek Adygezalov.
He said that a group of party activists came to the court to support Abbasli. They greeted the activist with applause. Abbasli maintains good spirits.
Adygezalov linked the arrest of Abbasly with the activities of the party.
Abbasly was detained by people in civilian clothes last Saturday afternoon, when he was going to a meeting with the leader of the PPP, Ali Insanov.
In an interview with the Azerbaijani service of the Voice of America, Insanov connected the detention of Abbasly with the activation of this party.
He condemned the form in which Abbasli was detained, calling it "kidnapping, lawlessness."
In his opinion, the real reason for the arrest of Abbasli is to obtain information about the activities of the party, its supporters inside the country and abroad. — 06D-
