Baku/18.11.18 / Turan: The leader of the PFPA and other activists detained the day before is charged with organizing and participating in processions not coordinated with the authorities, reads the message of the Baku Main Police Department. It is noted that on November 17, at about 4:00 pm, about 150 members of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, despite a preliminary warning from the Baku Main Police Department, attempted to hold a rally march in the direction of the Martyr Alley. Thanks to preventive measures, police officers, an unauthorized rally procession, accompanied by a violation of public order, was prevented. 52 participants of the action were taken to the Sabail district police department. Of these, 41 people were released after the warning, 11 people - the organizers of the rally led by the head of the Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli were detained. In fact, administrative protocols were drawn up in the Sabail District Police Department under Articles 513.1 and 513.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO);
The Article 513.1 provides for punishment by the organizer of an unauthorized action in the form of monetary fines, community service or administrative arrest up to 2 months.
The same types of punishment in accordance with Article 513.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses are provided for participants of uncoordinated actions.
The PFPA and the National Council of Democratic Forces reject the law enforcement version.
According to the opposition, in fact it was not a procession, but a visit to the Martyr Alley on the occasion of the Day of National Revival celebrated on November 17.
The lawyers did not manage to see Ali Kerimli. Despite the fact that the deadline for the consideration of administrative cases by the court is 24 hours after the suspect"s arrest, after more than a day, the defense is not informed of the time of the proceedings. -06D-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
