Aliyev and Levitin discussed the possibility of Russia using the potential of the Zangezur corridor
Baku/12.06.23/Turan: On June 12, President Ilham Aliyev received Igor Levitin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, the website of the head of state reports.
The parties noted successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in various fields, including the economic sphere.
Aliyev and Levitin exchanged views on the continuation of joint efforts to develop the North-South transport corridor, increase the volume of transported goods, and the possibilities of using the appropriate infrastructure on the territory of Azerbaijan, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
In this regard, it was pointed out that Azerbaijan, where the north-south and east-west corridors intersect, is increasingly becoming a transport hub.
They also discussed issues on exploring opportunities for Russia to use the potential of the Zangezur corridor. In addition, the sides exchanged views on the potential of modern shipbuilding in Azerbaijan. ----16D06----
