Baku/27.12.23/Turan: As part of the informal CIS summit on December 26 in St. Petersburg, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a short meeting. This was reported by the Russian newspaper Kommersant. According to the publication, the parties continue to actively work on a peace treaty, which could be signed “soon after the New Year.”
The Armenian side confirmed the information about the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, during which “issues related to the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agenda” were discussed.—06B-
