Andrew Schaefer Arrives in Baku
Baku / 04.02.18 / Turan: The American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Andrew Schaefer, arrived in Baku on February 3. To continue the discussions with the leadership of Azerbaijan on the Karabakh settlement next week, other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Igor Popov (Russia) and Stefan Visconti (France) will join him on 6-7 February, a source in the OSCE said.
On January 18, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs was held in Krakow.
After the visit to Baku, the co-chairs will leave for Yerevan. -06D--

Tehran Abdullayev, an activist from the Surakhani District branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PNFA), has been placed in a detention facility for administrative offenders, his lawyer, Nemat Kerimli, reported after meeting with him on October 21. According to the lawyer, Abdullayev stated that he was detained for his political activities.
