Another 13 Armenian soldiers sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment
Baku/23.07.21/Turan: On July 23, the trial of the third group of 13 Armenian military personnel was over at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes.
The state prosecutor asked to sentence everyone to 7 years of imprisonment finding them guilty of illegal border crossing and illegal possession of weapons . At the same time, the prosecutor asked to exclude from an indictment the articles on terrorism and creation of illegal formations.
After the meeting, judge Azad Mejidov read out the verdict which found citizens of Armenia: Karapetyan Rafik, Goloyan Gurgen, Tadevosyan Hrayr, Maloyan Vagharshak, Yeghiazaryan Sasun, Vardanyan Arsen, Bahrikyan Vahagen, Soghomonyan Setrak, Dilanyan Armen, Martonian Manuk, Anbardanyan Mels, Mikaelyan Andranik and Grigoryan Felix guilty and sentenced them to 6 years of imprisonment.
It should be recalled that the above-mentioned persons are servicemen of the Armenian army who were captured on December 13, 2020 on the territory of Hadrut during an operation of the State security service of Azerbaijan. Total, more than 60 people were detained.
Later, several of them were released.
Besides, in June, a group of 15 people was exchanged for maps of Agdham minefields.
Others were divided into three groups of 13 and 14 people to appear before the court. The first group of those sentenced to probation was exchanged for maps of Fizuli and Zangelan minefields.
Yesterday, a group of 13 Armenian soldiers received real terms of imprisonment for a period of 6 years. -02D-
