Another youth activist charged with a crime
Youth activist Orkhan Eyubzade is charged with use of force against the police. The Binanadi district court chose arrest as a preventive measure against him for a period of 1 month.
The young man was arrested on May 6 for 20 days for taking part in a protest against the conviction of eight NIDA movement activists.
However, after the expiration of his arrest, he was not released.
Eyubzade was taken to the Binagadi Court, which imposed a measure of restraint against him in the form of arrest for 1 month. He was charged under Article 315.1 (use of violence or resistance with the use of violence against a public official, not dangerous to life or health) of the Criminal Code. It is punishable by imprisonment up to three years.
However , according to the lawyer Asabali Mustafayev, the investigation did not present even primary evidence of the guilt of the young man. He believes the criminal case is fabricated and politically motivated. The defense will appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal in three days. -06D -
