Baku/21.02.22/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry condemned the statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry which welcomed the 34th anniversary of the decision of the Regional Council of NKAO to secede from Azerbaijan.
This decision was contrary to the USSR Constitution, the law "On the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region" of Azerbaijani SSR from 1981 and all other normative legal acts, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry comments.
Aggressive separatism described by the Armenian Foreign Ministry as a "revival," over the decades has led to a large-scale catastrophe in the region.
"The statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry encourages interethnic discord and reveals irresponsibility of this country, and that recent events have not been a lesson for Armenia. -02D-
