Armenia has no right to declaim against visits to Shusha by foreign diplomats – Foreign Ministry of Azerbajan
Baku/14.07.21 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry characterized actions of the Armenian Foreign Ministry as absurdity: the heads of diplomatic missions whose Ambassadors accredited in Baku were called to the Armenian Foreign Ministry and a note of protest presented to them for visiting Shusha.
Note that actions of the Armeian party were contrary to the international law and arose from territorial claims of Armenia to Azerbaijan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Leyla Abdullayeva said.
“We emphasize once again that any visits to the territory of Azerbaijan within its international borders cannot be accompanied by any protests or comments on the part of Armenia. As a matter of fact, visiting these territories was illegal during the Armenian military occupation. Shusha has already been liberated and, like other liberated areas, is an integral part of Azerbaijan," Abdullayeva stressed.
Also, she added that restoration operations are currently being carried out in Karabakh.
"Visits are being made and will be made, restoration work is underway, the legitimate owners of the city will return to their homes, in a word, life will be revived in our cradle of culture,” Abdullayeva noted.
She pointed out that Yerevan has no grounds for protest.
An impression is that the lack of leadership in the Armenian Foreign Ministry has its affect on the documents prepared by this body,” the diplomat added.
Official Yerevan should accept the new reality in the region and understand that nothing good will come of it for Armenia, she emphasized – - 06D-
