Armenia is not ready for neighborhood based on principles of international law – Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Baku/02.09.21/Turan: The revanchist statements of the Armenian Foreign Minister are indicative that Yerevan hangs on the policy of aggression against Azerbaijan. This was stated by the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Leyla Abdullayeva who commented an interview of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to the Russian RIA Novosti news agency.
Suffice it to say that Mirzoyan reiterated the position of official Yerevan which is contrary to the traditional international law and reflects territorial claims to Azerbaijan.
"By inciting aggressive separatism in the internationally recognized territories of Azerbaijan, the Armenian Foreign Minister openly demonstrates that his country has not abandoned the policy of aggression, so the "strategy of peace and security" he is talking about is none other than a fake," Abdullayeva said.
She stressed that Azerbaijan has ensured its territorial integrity in line with requirements of international law, and now it is time for implementation of the statements signed by the parties, and it is in the interests of the Armenian side to realize this reality.
Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated its commitment to normalizing relations based on the principles of international law. "However, the revanchist statements and actions of the Armenian side demonstrate that this country is not yet ready for a neighborhood based on international law."- 06B-
