Armenia returned Azerbaijani soldier
Baku/03.08.22/Turan: Armenia returned to Azerbaijan a serviceman who got lost on the border territory, Armenian media reported on August 3.
Azerbaijani soldier Kamiz Ibayev was handed over to Baku on August 2 with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
According to the Ministry, Armenian border guards found Ibayev on July 23 in the border zone of Gegharkunik region. "It was found that he got lost," the report says.
Earlier, on July 23, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that conscript Kamiz Ibayev disappeared on the border with Armenia in the Kelbajar region.
Official Baku has not yet announced the release of Ibayev. -06B-

Adalyat Verdiyev, the head of the civil defense staff at the public legal entity Center for Public Health and Reform under the Ministry of Health, and a military expert, has been arrested. On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
