Armenia urges International Court of Justice to declare Lachin checkpoint illegal
Baku/22.05.23/Turan: Armenia has appealed to the International Court of Justice for the second time because of the installation of the checkpoint in the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan. This was reported by Armenia's representative for international legal affairs Yeghishe Kirakosyan to the Public Television on Saturday.
He said that Yerevan expects the International Court of Justice to impose an interim measure on Baku, demanding unimpeded movement through Lachin corridor until the final decision on the lawsuit is made.
The office of Armenia's representative for international legal affairs also raised the issue of Baku not only disobeying the interim decisions of the UN court, but also ignoring the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights. -02D-
