Armenians accused Azerbaijan of damaging Internet cable in Karabakh and shelling Kafan airport
Baku/18.08.23/Turan: On August 17, at 17:55, the Azerbaijani side cut the fiber-optic Internet cable, disrupting the connection of Karabakh with Armenia. This was reported by the Armenian media, with reference to the leaders of the separatist regime.
According to them, the violation of the cable took place near the Lachin border checkpoint and the Azerbaijani side does not allow Armenian specialists to the site. In the morning, negotiations are underway with the participation of peacekeepers to restore the cable. At present, there is no Internet connection in Karabakh.
The same sources report that on the night of August 18, the building of the Kafan airport was shelled from the Azerbaijani side and was damaged. This airport is located a couple of hundred meters from the border with the Gubadly region of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani side has not yet commented on these Armenian allegations. -02D-
