Armenians Announce Arrest of Azerbaijani Spy
Baku / 01.10.20 / Turan: The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia announced the arrest of a former high-ranking military man who worked for the intelligence of Azerbaijan.
The report says that the former officer held responsible positions for many years, and during this time he transferred information containing state secrets to Azerbaijan.
While in Georgia, he was recruited by representatives of the Azerbaijani special services. Having access to information containing state secrets, he collected information about military equipment, objects of high importance, personnel and reserves. Using his connections in the Armed Forces of Armenia and Karabakh, he periodically met with colleagues, and then met in Georgia with representatives of the intelligence services of Azerbaijan. Part of the meetings took place on the territory of the Azerbaijani embassy. In addition to meetings, he got in touch by phone, transmitting the information received, the NSS of Armenia claims.
The name of the former soldier was not disclosed. He was charged with high treason and arrested. -02D-
