Armenians are preparing to liberate the city of Lachin and two villages by August 25
Baku/05.08.22/Turan: Armenians in Lachin, as well as in the village of Zabukh, must leave them before August 25. The ultimatum of the Azerbaijani authorities was delivered to them the day before by the commander of the Russian peacekeepers, General Volkov. According to the participants of the meeting, the general conveyed them the second demand to Baku - to disarm Karabakh.
On August 5, this demand was repeated at a meeting with the residents of the village of Zabukh, which the Armenians renamed Ahavno.
According to the Armenian media, the "authorities of Karabakh" promise each family compensation of $100 for the move and a certificate for $24,000 to buy a home. People will be provided with trucks to carry their belongings and warned to leave their homes safe.
The city of Lachin has been deserted long ago. This happened immediately after the end of the Second Karabakh War in November 2020. Currently, there are no more than 50 Armenians left in the city.
The third settlement of the district is the village of Sus, which the inhabitants left some time ago.
The biggest population is the village of Zabukh - about 200. This village, like Lachin itself, was captured by Armenians in May 1992. In recent years, Armenians began to populate these places with Armenians who arrived from Syria. -02B-
