Armenians stop exploitation of Gyzylbulag mine and invite international ecologists to Karabakh
Baku/28.12.22/Turan: On the evening of December 28, the Armenian media reported that "Base Metals” company is suspending the operation of the Kashen mine in Nagorno-Karabakh for an independent international environmental review."
An appeal for an examination was sent to the relevant UN structures and relevant international organizations, Sputnik Armenia reported.
It should be noted that Kashen - "Gyzylbulag" - is one of the two mines that Azerbaijani environmentalists intended to check, but were not allowed there by Armenians on December 7.
By attracting foreign structures, the Armenians hope to receive international documents confirming the absence of violations of environmental standards. However, they do not take into account that Azerbaijan will not allow any experts to come to the site without their participation. As well to enter the territory of Azerbaijan, one must obtain the consent of official Baku. -02B-
