Army Did Not Reach State Border of Azerbaijan in Zangilan
Baku / 07.12.20 / Turan: On the territory of the Zangilan region of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation during the Second Karabakh war, the Azerbaijani army cannot reach the Armenian-Azerbaijani border of demarcation of the times of the USSR.
Azerbaijan demands to move the current line of delimitation to the line of internationally recognized borders.
Recall that during the liberation of the Zangilan region, the Azerbaijani army stopped the offensive, meeting in front of them on the hills the units of the Russian border service with the flags of the Russian Federation.
"They (Azerbaijanis - Turan) demand that we liberate their territories according to the map, we are not talking about the territory belonging to the Republic of Armenia," Nerses Shadunts, head of the community in the border village of Tekh, Syunik region of Armenia, told tert.am.
Before the Azerbaijanis liberated Zangilan from the occupation, the Armenians of Syunik grazed sheep in the occupied Jabrayil region, which is also now liberated. Now they don't have enough pastures.
“They kept 50 thousand sheep in the village, now they sold everything at a cheap price, different people took it away. We don't know if they will give money in a year or not. Earlier there was also a problem of pastures in the village, can you imagine what we are talking about now?" he said.
The head of the community says that at the moment the number one issue of the community is a question of positions, it is necessary to ensure security, and then think about other issues.
“Border troops (of Russia - Turan) are stationed in some places, but the residents mostly stand next to the army (Armenian - Turan), taking measures for self-defense. They are waiting for demarcation, determination of state borders, "said the head of the village.
